Effective treatment of addicts using a bio-psycho-social approach – Base Program
Short description of continuing education
We consider addiction as a bio-psycho-social disease. According to our interpretation, it is a (biogenic) disease affecting life processes that also affects the state of the soul (psyche) and social (social) relationships.

Recovery from addiction The process of effective treatment begins when the patient recognizes and accepts the fact that under no circumstances is it possible for him or her to consume alcohol or other mood-altering agents safely, to repeat the addictive behavior. The biggest obstacle to recovery from addiction is denial. Feedback from your environment can help you break through these remedies, so it is important to reach out to, treat, treat early, addicted patients, and help you cope with the disease. In order to be more effective in dealing with addicts, it is always necessary to consider the system (opportunities, limitations) of the individual and his / her environment and to determine the goals and steps of the treatment with the active involvement of all stakeholders.

It is important for professionals who are targeted by continuing education to become aware of the mechanisms (addictions, addictions, roles) of addictions (bio-psycho-social), positively and negatively, so that this understanding can be effective (from adequate communication techniques, until the appropriate treatment centers are contacted).

After the lectures, participants can ask questions, dilemmas, and interactively process their everyday experiences, which also helps them to absorb information.
